Un 19 de agosto del a\u00f1o 1928 se creaba en nuestra ciudad la ASOCIACION MERCEDINA DE FOOT BALL, que tiempo despu\u00e9s pasar\u00eda a denominarse Liga Mercedina de F\u00fatbol.
\nLa instituci\u00f3n fue presidida en sus inicio por Pedro Luis Pasquinelli, Felipe Gauna como secretario, Alberto Coimalley tesorero, y como vocales: Victorio Telesca, Francisco Lejarra y Antonio Chac\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

En la primera fecha, los partidos disputados arrojaron los siguiente resultados:<\/p>\n
